Our Story

Established in 1997 by the founding owner Stephen Povey. Sadly Stephen retired from the business in 2018 but the standards and dream are the live on.  We continue to Dream, and that dream is to become one of Brisbane’s original certified organic butchers. But it was more than just an dream, it is a way of life and fantastic opportunity to bring healthier, safer, natural and nutritious grass-fed meats to our customers. We have proudly and passionately supplied to the greater Brisbane and its neighbouring cities for 19 years and look forward to continuing to supply for future generations.
Organics to us means much more than great tasting meat. It means the opportunity to deliver people a healthier product that’s free of hormones, additives and chemicals. Allowing those with food intolerances and allergies to feel good about what they eat. Choosing Organics gives the peace of mind that we are all contributing to reduce our impact on global warming, by making the decision to support traditional farming methods for the benefit of this and future generations of Australians. By raising the awareness of organics we can increase the demand for produce, fair pricing and encourage more farmers to adopt organic farming methods.
We are proud to be working with and supporting a network of like-minded Certified Organic farmers who have been with us since our humble beginnings. The Meat-Ting Place Organics is a fully Certified Organic Company, we strive to make sure our products are of the highest quality and are brought straight from the farm to you. We are proud to follow the Australian Certified Organic’s high standards.
